Seymour St Residence

Our vibrant clients were renovating their beautiful bungalow overlooking the Auckland Harbour. We were tasked with creating an interior palette for their home that utilised texture and organic warmth with different finishes, while bringing in touches of glamour and colour. Our response started at the entrance of the home bringing in a custom designed timber feature wall, juxtaposed by a painted black wall opposite. The material palette of timber, marble, natural stone and earthy greens were threaded through the interiors to achieve the desired aesthetic.

A striking granite benchtop sits central to the newly configured kitchen space. The granite is softened by the marble mosaic splashback and soft grey tones of the cabinetry. A glimpse into the scullery shows a hint of colour.

The custom timber wall anchors the first floor living - wrapping from the hallway into the living room to bring the spaces together. On the opposing wall the fire and TV cabinetry was kept simple but textural with a bespoke Velvetina render. The two wall treatments combine to produce an organic warmth to the main living area.

Each bathroom in the home was carefully considered with its own distinct personality. The downstairs bathroom is playful for the kids, featuring luxurious marble paired with vibrant green subway tiles arranged in a vertical stack. While the upstairs ensuite exudes refined sophistication, showcasing sleek white finger tiles and a custom-designed mirror cabinet.
